Our Mission
The Surgery and Sports Medicine Club at OU-HCOM is committed to giving first and second-year medical students insight into the various surgical and sports medicine specialties. Our mission is to educate our members by bringing in specialists from across the state. SSM shall abide by all University and HCOM (Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine) policies and procedures.

Dues: $30 annually
Services Provided
SSM offers the service of its members to the OU club hockey team throughout the season at each of their home games, shadowing and assisting their team physician, Dr. Black. SSM also occasionally provides volunteers to the First Aid tent at 黑料吃瓜 football home games throughout the fall semester. In April, SSM members act as volunteer first aid station workers at the Athens Marathon, providing first aid assistance at a multitude of stations throughout the marathon's course.
